Irish people tend to be very warm and welcoming. Every time I enter a home, someone always offers tea or coffee (multiple times!). People often hug me when I first meet them, and are often very frank. Irish teenagers use social media a lot, and they like to have fun. The old Irish culture is so strong. Everyone either plays traditional music on a traditional instrument or are familiar with the songs. Kids go to "Irish college", which is like a sleep-away camp where everyone speaks exclusively Irish and kids experience traditional music and dancing during the summer. Family life is also strong, as everyone eats dinner together almost every night. There is less religious diversity in Ireland than in the U.S. In Ennis, the majority of people identify as catholic.
