FOOD

Food in Ireland is similar to that in the States. The people here feed me a lot. Irish people drink far more tea than Americans. Breakfast is a larger meal in Ireland. Traditional breakfast includes fried eggs, sausage, black and white pudding, rashers (bacon), and tea. The produce is fresher, and often local. People eat dinner with their families more. My counterpart views American food as unhealthy and served in large portions. She says that she imagines that the food is more meat and cheese based, and that fast-food is more readily available. A quintessential Irish dinner is roast chicken and ham with potatoes, or bacon and cabbage. Stew tends to be popular as well.
